Software
Some strong points of the PokerRoom software are: Mac and Linux
support, progressive statistics functions, marking players by colors,
All-In % display for tournaments, control keys, optional full screen
display, and “Pot Size Bet Button” and multitabling support. The only
weak point may be: the software is very resource-intensive. Java-Client
only supports 4 open tables. The table’s layout cannot be adapted by
skins.
First deposit bonus
You get up to $600 bonus for your first initial deposit. You have 60
days from the time you register to collect the required number of
player points. You need 8 points per $1 dollar. For example, you need
800 points for a $100 bonus. As soon as you have collected the required
number of player points the bonus will be accredited to your PokerRoom
account in full. It is a ONE-TIME bonus that you exclusively get with
your FIRST deposit. Please note that no prior collected points can be
used in order to speed up the bonus payout. Only points collected after
the first deposit are allowed.
Bonus advice
The bonus is easy to clear at no limit cash tables from a big blind of
$2. Players who prefer microlimits will need more time. Our bonus suits
all medium-term oriented players.
Player traffic and soft competition
Due to being a part of the OnGame-network, Red Kings is one of the most frequented visited poker rooms. Traffic spreads evenly between the ring games and tournaments alike. Most players prefer low and medium limits. There is hardly any highstake participants playing. Texas Holdem limits and no limits are most predominant. The group of Omaha players is pretty small but growing. The standard is pretty ordinary. There are a small number of sharks to be avoided but remarkably many fish.
Ring games and pool limits
Pools range from $0.15/$0.30 to $50/$100 at no limit tables and from
$0.25/$0.50 to $500/$1000 at limited tables. PokerRoom offers Texas
Holdem (Limit, NL and PL), Omaha (High and Hi/Lo), Seven Card Stud
(High and Hi/Lo), and Five Crad Draw. There are tables for 10, Shot
Hand tables, and Head Up tables.
Tournaments
Some of PokerRoom’s definite strengths are their substantial tournament
offers. Tournaments with buy-ins between $1 and $20 are held several
times an hour. Also, there are several $50 and $100 tournaments on a
daily basis. PokerRoom also holds big events and special tournaments.
Besides Texas Holdem ,Omaha, and Seven Card Stud, PokerRoom does even
Five Card Draw tournaments. That’s remarkable. For tournaments with
higher buy-ins you can choose one of the many satellites. Finally,
there are Sit’nGo’s on all limits.
VIP program
Real money players are rewarded with player points. They are needed to play boni but can be changed into Ring games and tournament tickets too. Unfortunately, there’s no chance to change hard-earned player points into cash with Red Kings.
